Edward Snowden's Permanent Record is a novel detailing how Snowden came into a position of revealing classified documents explaining how the US government is surveilling American Citizens by using highly illegal and unethical technologies. This book explains the technical ways that the government was able to actually conduct this surveilling, by exploiting American companies such as Google and Amazon for their mass amounts of data, as well as installing middleman hardware in telecommunication companies technology to intercept virtually all traffic on public and private networks.
Snowden has done an amazing job of showcasing how important keeping your right to privacy valid is, and given some pointers on how the average citizen is able to do so.
