digital privacy is the act of keeping your actions online private. This can come in many different forms.
- encryption is the act of keeping the contents of your message private. this is important when dealing with sensitive information that can be used in malicious ways should it be intercepted by a malicious third party. examples of this include passwords, credit card information, etc.
- anonymous communication is the act of sending communications / requests over the internet with no way of the request being tied to your identity. this can be accomplished with tools such as VPNs, or more effective ones like the Tor project.
